How has Instagram Changed from 2010 to Now?

How has Instagram changed from 2010 to now?
Our Hypothesis: We think that Instagram would have changed a lot from when it started to when it was sold to Mark Zuckerberg, we think Mark Zuckerberg would have made Instagram what it is today, and we think that he would have made it better.

What we already know? We think that Instagram has changed majorly over the years, we know that Instagram was sold to Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg, this would have given Instagram more fame.

Instagram was sold to Mark Zuckerberg in 2012, two years after it launched. Instagram now has over 500 million active accounts per month. When Instagram had its first month on the Appstore they had already had just under 1million users. The pair say they don’t regret selling Instagram to Mark for one billion dollars even though Instagram is now worth 100 billion dollars. “I think for where we were, we made an awesome decision,” Kevin said.

Instagram has had many updates improving the way you share photos, promote businesses and get in contact with people. The average person spends approximately 53 minutes on Instagram per day. Instagram is not only a social photo sharing app, it's also used for business and careers.
With the amazing success in the first two years of Instagram's launch, we wonder why did the pair who created it, sell it?

The pair stated in a blog post that they needed to take a break from Instagram, and it was for the best to sell it and the pair are happy with their decision as they were very proud of their accomplishments so early in Instagram's life.
Instagram has added a new feature that they are trialling, this is a feature where you are unable to see other people likes as well as making it harder to see your own. This feature has been put on trial as they think that it will impact on how people post. Maybe enabling them to feel comfortable posting more, knowing people are unable to see how many likes your post gets.
In conclusion, we believe that Instagram has changed for the better more than for the worse.
